Introduction to TV drama: blog tasks

  1) How does this His Dark Materials trailer meet the conventions of a TV drama series?

Many cliffhangers in the trailer entice viewers to watch the entire series in order to discover the resolution of each scene, a tactic used by many television drama series.

2) What genre (or genres) are suggested by this His Dark Materials trailer?
It feels like something out of a mystery, adventure, or fantasy book.

3) What kind of characters and narratives are introduced in this trailer?

Some adventurers and courageous people who seem willing to give their lives in the name of bravery
4) What settings appear in the trailer?

Farm houses, historic villages, imposing church cathedrals, and woods all help to give viewers a sense of what a classic TV show is like. 

5) Who do you think the target audience for His Dark Materials is? Give reasons for your answer.  I believe that a wide age range could be covered, starting at age 21, but I don't think youngsters would appreciate this media as much as middle-aged adults would because the story appears unsuited to their media profile group.

1) How are the cover lines written to make the audience want to buy the magazine?  Since people buy magazines expecting informative and entertaining material, they are more likely to believe that the magazine will be worthwhile if the strap line is strong. Because the strap lines draw attention to all the intriguing tales within, they also make the magazine more desirable. 2) How are celebrities represented in Heat? (Positively? Negatively?
